Freia Oppfinnerkontoret

When Freia invited fans to invent their own chocolate flavors for a chance to have them produced, SMFB turned to us to bring "The Inventor’s Office" to life. Given Freia’s deep roots in Norwegian tradition, we chose classic stop-motion—a technique that naturally reflects the brand's heritage of craftsmanship and playfulness.

To execute a project of this scale, we assembled a specialized team of collaborators. We worked with Andy Spreadbury at Alban Studios in Bristol on the puppet production, while the intricate sets were built by our partners at Haki Maki. The entire production was shot in our own studios in Skippergata, with Eirik Grønmo serving as lead animator. By building every element from scratch, we created a tactile, handmade world that felt just as authentic as the chocolate-making process itself.
